One Foot Forward 2026
This October, Bad Decisions Club is putting one foot forward for better mental health. We’re walking with Black Dog Institute because support should arrive before crisis—and nobody should have to carry the hard stuff alone.
Sixty kilometres. Thirty-one days. One very determined panda.
Throughout Mental Health Month, Commander Panda is walking 60 km to raise funds for Black Dog Institute. You can sponsor the mission, join the Bad Decisions Club team and complete your own challenge, or simply follow along as we turn every step into a reminder that people matter.
Registration and donations are handled securely through the official One Foot Forward platform. Bad Decisions Club does not collect or process campaign funds.
Why This Matters
Behind every mental health statistic is a person, along with the families, carers, friends and communities walking beside them. Early support, connection and feeling genuinely heard can change what happens next.
Who We’re Supporting
Black Dog Institute works across research, education, digital services, advocacy and suicide prevention to help create better mental health for people across Australia.
Follow the Walking Chaos
We’ll share kilometres, photos, honest updates and small ways the community can take part throughout October. There may be determination. There may be questionable decisions. There will definitely be snacks.
What one foot forward means to us:
Asking the second question. Listening without rushing to fix. Supporting the
people who support others. Making room for honesty. And reminding someone who
is struggling quietly that they do not have to walk alone.
