Bad Decisions Club · Tabletop
Cabins & Consequences
A one-off supernatural tabletop experience, played exclusively at Afterhours Camp over Halloween weekend.
NOT A CAMPAIGN NOT A RERUN NOT PLAYED AGAIN
What is it?
Cabins & Consequences is a contained, choice-driven tabletop story created by Bad Decisions Club and run on-site at Afterhours Camp. You are campers under the guidance of a Camp Counsellor. The rules feel strange. The map doesn’t match the grounds. And something in the treeline is watching.
Every decision changes what happens to the group. Every action has consequences.
- A shared environment
- Personal motivations
- Incomplete information
- Consequences that ripple beyond the moment
How it’s played
There are mechanics, but they serve the story. There are rules, but they bend under pressure. There is structure, but the players decide how it breaks.
- Live, in-person experience
- Guided narrative, facilitated by Bad Decisions Club
- Collaborative, not competitive
- Roleplay encouraged, not forced
- 6 players per table
You won’t always know whether a choice affects you, the group, or the entire story.
Tone & themes
Moral ambiguity. Group dynamics. Trust and secrecy. The cost of doing nothing. It can be tense, funny, and quietly devastating.
You are never punished for a “wrong” choice, but you are always responsible for the one you make.
Who it’s for
For
- Tabletop gamers who enjoy narrative depth
- Roleplayers who like realism over power fantasy
- People who enjoy ethical dilemmas and slow-burn tension
- Nerds who read the rules, then argue respectfully
Not for
- Players looking to min-max
- People who need to “win”
- Anyone uncomfortable with emotional storytelling
