The Carer's House.
Nobody plans to live here.
You love someone. Something changes. Somewhere between the phone calls, appointments, uncertainty, responsibility and trying to keep ordinary life moving, you realise you've ended up inside.
We can't promise the house won't suck. But while you're here, you don't have to be in it alone.
Before you come inside...
This house is a lived-experience space. In here, we call things as they are.
Sometimes that includes words that aren't for everyone. That's okay.
They're not here for shock value. They're here because sometimes words like difficult, challenging and overwhelming don't quite say it.
We didn't always like the words. But we felt the words.
Take what helps. Leave what doesn't. You're still welcome in the house.
The house can still fucking suck.
In fact, it probably needs to.
Otherwise we're lying about the address.
Where are you today?
There is no correct way through this house. You might recognise one room. You might recognise five. You might be standing in the foyer wondering what the hell happened.
Choose the room that feels closest to where you are right now.
Sometimes you can't see anyone else from the room you're in.
Other carers may be in completely different rooms, on completely different floors, living completely different stories.
That doesn't mean you're alone in the house.
There are other lights on.
And this house isn't finished. Rooms can change. Doors can open. Walls can move.
Hell, maybe one day we paint the fucking thing.
